Two of my favorite shows are coming this week, in a barn and a packing shed.

Javier Zamora who grows the greatest strawberries is throwing a Cinco de Mayo celebration this Saturday May 5th at his JSM Organics farm in Royal Oaks between Watsonville and San Juan Bautista. Mariachi from noon – 2:30, food and strawberry picking and two screenings of Evolution of Organic at 3pm & 5pm in the packing shed. This should be a lot of fun. Hope you’ll come.

This Friday, May 4this the show in a barn at Mark Squire’s Tara Firma Farm. 6:30pm. This event is sponsored by Good Earth Natural Foods. It features music beforehand by Jerry Draper; and a panel discussion afterward with pioneer Wendy Krupnick, Mark Squire of Good Earth, Tom Mello of Amy’s, John Wick of the Marin Carbon Project and Jerry Draper of Marin Organic. Really looking forward to this event. Please join us. It’s at night in a barn, so bring a coat and/or blanket.

Organizing a Southern California campaign begins this week. Thanks to Dr. Bronner’s for sponsoring the campaign. It will be run by Corinne Bourdeau and Susan Haymer of 360 Degree Communications. Contact them at:

Let us hear from you if you live in the Southland and want to get involved, get notices or take part however. We’re coming off a good show on Earth Day for the Earth Focus Film Fest. Now we’re going to take the film wide.

Re: Buy Us A Song, our crowdfunding campaign to raise $20K for licensing five songs, we’re finally starting to build the site. Now it looks like we’ll run the campaign in June and July. Hallelujah, it’s the end. We’re putting finishing touches on credits revisions, will remaster the film next week and have it ready to distribute soon.

Thanks for all, Mark
